Le Brabançon revient au Kuipke après deux ans d’absence. Jasper De Buyst en avait marre de tourner en rond. Ancien grand espoir de la piste qui a directement confirmé chez les élites en remportant à 19 ans les Six Jours de Gand, le rapide Brabançon a décidé de se tourner vers la route et de quitter les vélodromes. Mais après avoir fait l’impasse ces deux dernières années sur les Six Jours de Gand, le fils de Franky (un ancien coureur devenu aujourd’hui soigneur… dans son équipe, Lotto-Soudal) a décidé de revenir à son premier amour.
