À l’heure d’entamer, ce week-end, à Spa-Francorchamps, la deuxième moitié de cette saison 2018, le mercato de la F1 est loin d’être terminé. Seuls huit baquets ont été confirmés, trois pendant la trêve estivale avec l’effet domino lié au départ annoncé de Fernando Alonso pour l’Indy Car. Tout ne s’est pas fait dans l’ordre, mais Carlos Sainz remplacera son compatriote chez McLaren, Daniel Ricciardo a pris la place vacante chez Renault aux côtés de Nico Hulkenberg et Pierre Gasly a été confirmé sur la deuxième Red Bull-Honda.
