Le Real, roi de Madrid... Il lui aura fallu attendre six mois, mais Thibaut Courtois a finalement eu sa revanche sur l’Atlético Madrid. Battu mi-août lors de la Supercoupe d’Europe, le gardien belge avait dû essuyer les moqueries de ses anciens supporters, furax de l’avoir vu signer chez le frère ennemi.
