Vanhaezebrouck a expliqué pourquoi le Portugais n’est "plus un collègue." Même pas dix heures après sa première attaque envers Ricardo Sa Pinto, Hein Vanhaezebrouck en a rajouté une couche. "Pour moi, ce type n’est plus un collègue depuis longtemps", dit-il au sujet de Sa Pinto. "Et donc, je ne dois pas être collégial envers lui. Je suis coach depuis 20 ans, je n’ai jamais eu de problèmes avec un autre entraîneur. Je me suis souvent disputé avec Peter Maes, Francky Dury et Michel Preud’homme, mais il y avait toujours un respect mutuel."
