Le Britannique pourrait rejoindre Anquetil, Merckx, Hinault et Indurain en cas de nouveau succès final. Malgré l’immensité de la tâche qui l’attend, gagner une cinquième fois le maillot jaune, réussir le doublé Giro-Tour qui échappe depuis vingt ans à tous ceux qui s’y attaquent et enlever un quatrième grand Tour consécutif en un peu plus d’un an, Christopher Froome s’impose comme le grandissime favori de la 105 e édition du Tour de France.
