Le Liégeois n’a pas été mis en danger et remporte le classement final. Une première victoire en appelle d’autres. Loïc Vliegen a confirmé ce dicton du peloton en décrochant un second succès chez les pros. Après avoir inauguré son palmarès en s’imposant en force et avec maîtrise dimanche, à Beyne-Heusay, il a su conserver son maillot jaune jusqu’au bout. Pour décrocher le classement final. Âgé de 25 ans, celui qui avait quitté l’hiver dernier BMC pour endosser un rôle de leader chez Wanty-Gobert espère que ce succès va définitivement lancer sa carrière.
