Johan Van Herck, qui offrait à la Belgique il y a un an sa plus belle histoire en Coupe Davis, sera sur le circuit challenger ce week-end Il faut remonter à 2007 pour trouver la trace d’un mois de septembre sans la présence des Belges en Coupe Davis. Que ce soit en matches de barrage ou en demi-finale, les protégés de Johan Van Herck s’étaient toujours retrouvés en équipe après l’US Open. Il y a un an, jour pour jour, le capitaine avait réuni David Goffin, Steve Darcis, Ruben Bemelmans et Arthur De Greef pour disputer l’un des week-ends les plus mémorables du tennis belge. Goffin and co avaient battu au Palais 12 du Heysel l’Australie de Nick Kyrgios en demi-finale.
