Les Teutons n’ont plus gagné de trophée depuis 2013 mais restent redoutables. Longtemps, l’Allemagne a paru un mur infranchissable à nos Red Lions. Elle gagnait à chaque fois ou concédait parfois un match nul. Jusqu’à ce jour béni d’août 2007 à Manchester, où les Belges se qualifièrent pour les Jeux en battant l’Allemagne à sept secondes de la fin sur une déviation de Jérôme Truyens. Le but le plus important de l’histoire du hockey belge et le début de son ère moderne.
